Mars and Pluto are sitting at a 0.04° quincunx right now, exact at 1:23pm today. That's as tight as it gets. The quincunx is an awkward 150° angle, not a clean confrontation like an opposition, not a flowing support like a trine. It's the aspect of misalignment, of two forces that can't quite see each other but can absolutely feel each other. And these two forces are Mars and Pluto, which is like putting a blowtorch next to a pressure cooker and hoping neither one notices the other.
