Uranus stations, Mercury sharpens, and something finally shifts

The station that changes the tempo

Uranus stations retrograde on September 10th. That's the week. Everything else orbits it.

A station isn't a moment, it's a stall, the planet hanging almost motionless before reversing direction, and the stillness before the pivot is where you feel it most. Uranus has been in Gemini since earlier this year, rewiring how information moves, how minds connect, how ideas get tested in public. Now it pauses. And in that pause, whatever it's been loosening in your life, a fixed habit, a story you've told yourself, a structure you've stayed in out of inertia, becomes suddenly harder to ignore.

If you were born with planets in Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, or Pisces, the station lands close to home. But honestly, Uranus in Gemini is a collective transit, it's been pushing at how everyone communicates and adapts, and the station simply turns up the volume on whichever part of that you've been half-noticing.

It was doing this exact same thing in September 2025, last time it stationed. What was disrupting your thinking then? The thread probably didn't fully resolve. It's back, and it's asking you to actually deal with it now, not manage it.

Mercury in a very busy week

Right as Uranus stations, Mercury is entering Libra on September 11th and immediately starts making contact with almost everything. This is the part where it gets interesting.

Friday at 3:37am, Mercury forms a semi-square to Jupiter. Not a harmonious aspect, it's a friction point, the kind that makes you want to say more than you should, or reach a conclusion faster than the evidence supports. The upside is real energy behind your thinking. Just don't let enthusiasm outpace accuracy.

Then Saturday, September 12th, is dense. Mercury opposes Neptune at 4:29pm, exact. This is the one that earns a warning: opposition to Neptune is where clarity dissolves, where conversations feel meaningful but somehow don't quite land, where you can be sincerely persuaded by something that won't hold up on Monday. Make no major commitments based on Saturday afternoon conversations. Or do, but sleep on them first.

What saves the day is that Mercury also trines Pluto on Saturday at 10:23am, before the Neptune opposition peaks. Pluto trine gives you access to a different layer, something more honest and less comfortable. Use the morning for the hard conversation you've been circling. By afternoon, things will get softer and fuzzier, so front-load the precision.

Mercury's trine to Uranus perfects after the week closes, at 2:33am Sunday, but you'll feel it building through Saturday evening. When these two connect, especially with Uranus newly stationary, something you've been trying to articulate for weeks might suddenly have a shape. Write it down.

Wednesday's undercurrent

Look, Venus opposes Chiron on September 9th at 11:50pm, and that's not nothing. Venus has just moved into Libra, its own sign, on Monday the 7th, and then almost immediately has to face Chiron, where something old about worth or connection gets reflected back at you by someone else. This opposition lasts another 18 days after it peaks, so it's a longer conversation, not a single event.

The Monday morning Moon-Venus square at 1:40pm sets a slightly scratchy opening to the week, a small friction between what you want and what's available, nothing catastrophic, but a signal that the week isn't going to be smooth from the jump.

Meanwhile the Sun, Moon, and Mercury are all bunched in Virgo through Thursday, a stellium that brings a particular kind of focused, almost obsessive attention. Details matter. Your eye for what's off is sharp. This is useful energy for fixing things, for editing, for getting a system right. Virgo stellium paired with Uranus stationing is an odd combination: one wants to refine the existing structure, the other wants to crack it open. You'll probably feel both impulses at once.

The New Moon

There's a New Moon on Friday, September 11th. New Moons in Virgo are about beginning something practical, something with a process behind it. With Mercury entering Libra the same day and the whole week crackling with Uranian electricity, the impulse to start something is real, and it deserves to be taken seriously. The disruption Uranus has been generating isn't random. It clears space. And Virgo knows what to do with cleared space.

The Sun-Mars sextile is building all week, exact after Sunday, but it's providing a steady push of forward momentum underneath everything. This isn't a week where you sit with things passively. Something wants to move.
